It’s a few days late, but I haven’t posted anything here in a while, so I thought I would throw this little moment from a Boys and Girls Club fundraiser event up here. Some volunteers with the local high school dance team came out to put together the to-go boxes for the barbecue… And this particular girl doesn’t seem pleased to be scooping beans as her role. But can you blame her?

The Totah Festival and Pow Wow. You really just can’t go wrong.
Good day in the office. Nothing to complain about when I get to hang out at the lake in the morning and then fly in the hospital’s new helicopter in the afternoon, right? At least until I have to head back in to the real office and all. Still, not a bad day, I say.

So it ends. The final day of the Connie Mack World Series, and it’s finally over. The Midland Redskins walk away with the title for the third consecutive year and I’m sitting here typing this from the dining room at Applebees, celebrating my own freedom.
Congratulations Redskins. It’s been a pleasure.

Everybody likes a feel-good story when the host team wins in extra innings, right? I certainly thought it was one of the more thrilling games of the tournament. So here you are folks, day four of the Connie Mack World Series.

A couple of late photos from Thursday’s Connie Mack World Series parade that I never got around to posting.
Day three of the Connie Mack World Series. Tried to shift my focus a bit and try some different things, even if they are a little subtle.
Remote camera at the homerun derby event, and then some one-camera, real simple “stand back and take a closer look” approach.

Shots from day one of the Connie Mack World Series. It’s 11:30 and I haven’t even left the pressbox yet. Tomorrow is going to be a loooooong day.
One day down, six more to go.
